Our regular events include: weekly Friday tastings of at least 6 wines for $15, Saturday afternoon tastings, and monthly wine dinners. Please see the calendar below for details and times.

  • Fri, Feb 3 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm: Syrah, Often Overlooked!
    This week we will offer a variety of different expressions of Syrah. from the brassy Australia offerings to the lush Washington State versions. This is a great sipping wine, as well as being very food friendly. They range from rich blackberry to bright raspberry. We will be joined by Pete Papania and his guitar and Jan will serve up another great buffet to pair with the wines. Come and see what Syrah is all about. 15 dollars for 6 wines.   • Fri, Feb 10 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm: Italian Regional, Tuscany
    We travel to Tuscany this week as we sample some of the many forms that Sangiovese takes, from the light and fruity chianti to the complex full bodied Brunello. This will be a great opportunity to see just how far this fabled region has come since the days of wicker bsket wines. Brian Coulson entertains and Jan will present an Italian buffet to pair with the wines.

    This week we will offer the Chocolate pairing tasting, however for those of you who would like to sample some of Friday’s wines they will be available for a small fee. (6136 campus lane)
  • Sat, Feb 11 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm: Jay’s Valentine Chocolate Pairings
    We will be pairing five or six wines with handmade chocolates from Bellbrook Chocolate Shoppe in Centerville, www.bellbrookchocolates.com. We will be pairing cabernet, riesling, pinot noir, late harvest dessert wine and more with Bellbrook’s unique blend of dark and milk chocolate as well as their white chocolate. Brian Coulson will be on hand to entertain with his guitar. We are hoping to have someone from Bellbrook, but if not we will be led by Jay, who used to work for them.     This week we visit the Russian River Valley, home to some of California’s great Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. We will taste at least one example of each as well as some of the other varietals found in this cool climate region.   • Sat, Feb 18 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm: Italian Wine Dinner
    We will taste the wines of Luigi Einaudi. Wines tasted will range from single vineyard Barolos to Dolcetto di Dogliano. Jan will offer a nice northern Italian inspired buffet to complent the wines. This tasting is per person and by reservation only.     We will taste some of the great wines coming from the Columbia Valley in Washington State. This region produces some complex red and white wines. We will sample a variety of wines from Syrah to Riesling. These are subtle wines with layers of flavor and complexity. Steve Elam entertains us with his Hammered Dulcimer and Jan will present another fantastic buffet to pair with the wines. Premium tastes available.
